Extension Training Institute

SAMETI functions as the apex training and capacity building institute under ATMA Scheme for extension personnel at the State level. The main roles are:

• Provide need-based training to extension functionaries to improve their knowledge, skills, and attitude.
• Develop training modules for middle and grass-root level extension functionaries.
• Coordinate with MANAGE, Hyderabad and other institutions for advanced training programs.
• Facilitate participatory methodologies in extension delivery.
• Act as a nodal agency for HRD support to ATMAs.
• Provide consultancy services in project planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Develop and update database of extension functionaries.
